 The photos below represent an effort by myself to create a self portrait in my studio utilizing a mirror.  I like to do this at least once a year for practice as it is about as difficult for me to do as anything I can do in the studio.  The first photo is Day 1 where I start out with a white canvas and a small brush, making general placement marks with the brush.  The second photo is Day 2 where I start adding general colors to help establish values and skin tones.  The third photo is Day 3 where I start refining skin tone colors and general characteristics.  The forth photo is Day 4 where I make the final refinements add some color for the clothes, finishing the self portrait.
